My Sunshine

Titles can get in the way sometimes and this is no exception. I am almost running out of ideas to tell the story of my layout. My daughter smiles easily (unlike mum!!!) and that makes her all the more attractive. Seeing her smile is like a ray of sunshine giving hope and life to an otherwise, sometimes dreary existence. This title aptly applies to her vibrant and sunshiny character.
This layout is for Sketches4all Weekly Challenge "Technique Tuesday -MAY WEEK 4-Washi Tape". I like Washi Tapes because they are easy and convenient to use at any time. Using the sketch by Brenda Ragsdale of Granddivasscrappyplace
I created this layout for the challenge.

I used flowers to create my semi-circle and use up as much of my scraps as I possibly can. I use a couple of Washi tapes to create the strips of banners as well as the background for my title.

Here's the layout:
Location : Shah Alam
Supplies: Kaiser Craft Mumma Bushka
Kaiser craft flowers
Handmade rossette's
Papaer Boutique Title
Various scraps of pp from stash
Papaer Boutique stickers
Delfino Brads
Prima Brad
Various Washi Tapes

Love Your Smile

This is my 2nd submission for Scrapyourstory challenge. The theme for Week 3 is Challenge #11: It's Sketch Time!! Here is the sketch:

Okay, I may be biased. Who else will I scrap if not my pretty daughter? She loves the Swimming Pool very, very much. Given the opportunity, she would have loved to jump into the pool irregardless of what she's wearing. Now I'll always remember to pack her swimming gear along with a change of clothes so that she can swim whenever we are near any swimming pools.
I love her smile. Period! I wish I can have her radiant smile or smile as easily as she does. Guess I just have to learn to smile. Here's the layout for this challenge:

Supplies: Kaisercraft
From stash
Handmade Flowers (will be available at

Favourite Quote

Well, a friend commented I spent way too much time creating layouts about my daughter - as if there is no other person(s) in my life. Point taken. Then, occassionally, dd will comment why I am not creating layouts of other people for a change. Another point taken but with a difference. She has to know who the person I am creating for, otherwise, she will be upset. With that in mind, for this challenge, I decided to create one of my favourite hobbies - quotes. I love to collect quotes and sometimes I'll print them and put them in file, or write them down or pin them on my cork board at the office.
This quote, by Positive Inspirational Quote, was on Pearl Liu's wall and I like it so much. It is God's way of telling me never to give up no matter how much trash is being thrown into my way. Good quotes as these will come my way when I am on the brink of giving everything up as in my opinion there is nothing left for me in life. Everything is just so useless and don't mean anything anymore. Also, this statement by Joyce Meyer really is good food for thought "As long as we complain, we remain stuck in our problems. But a thankful attitude brings deliverance and makes God smile".
This layout is for Scrapyourstory challenge #10 : Favourites. The rule is as follows:
We're back with another themed challenge for you this week! It's all about favorites. Scrap your favorite moment, your favorite picture, your favorite holiday, your favorite item(s), in fact this week's challenge would be PERFECT for a list style layout. Just make sure if it doesn't say favorite ON the actual layout (in journaling or the title) that you take the time to explain what's your favorite in your blog post.

Quote : Positive Inspirational Quote
Supplies : Kaisercraft
Momoyo Ribbon
Moof Paper
Kaiser Butterfly & Bird
Basic Grey Arrow
Prima Backing sheet
Shabby button
Paper Boutique Alphas
Stars from Stash
Tim holtz Distress Ink

The Stars is a symbol of Light at the end of the tunnel while the butterfly is to show how delicate life actually is. The bird is a symbol of strength when one soar very high in life after going through the pain and trials.

Upside Down

This is my 2nd entry for Thepinkelephant Challenge TPE#197 using Washi Tape. I love Washi Tapes very much and I'll use them at every opportunity. I just love this photo of Anis  - probably taken by her mom, Asmah. She really looks cute here.
I decided to use up this old Basic Grey paper, even though it is very, very busy. I try my best to tone the pattern down so that the poto will take centre stage.
Here's my take for the challenge:
Location: Taman Noorbar, Melaka
Supplies: Basic Grey, Paper Boutique, unknown (leftover from stash)
Washi Tapes
Kaiser Flowers
Wooden flower
Delgino Brads
Sunlit Border Punches
Zig Pen
